Why does software still have a menu?
A menu is a list of everything the software will allow. It exists because the software could never ask you what you wanted. That constraint is gone, and the menu is still here.
A menu is the software confessing that it cannot ask. Here is everything I am allowed to do. You go find your thing. We learned to live inside that list so completely that we stopped seeing it.
The constraint that created the menu is gone. Software can understand what you were trying to do, not just what you clicked. I keep coming back to this one because the menu is still everywhere, and every menu is a question nobody asked.
