Blind faith

I wish I could stress how unbelievable this whole thing is. Somebody writes you a check. Good people quit stable jobs to come build with you. Everyone is nodding like there is a plan. And deep down you know the truth. We are all holding hands and jumping. It is blind faith, and anyone who says otherwise is full of the stinky stuff.

And honestly? That is the fun part. Nobody ever built anything big with a guarantee in their pocket. You cannot know what is on the other side of the door. You walk through anyway. That is the whole job description.

But here is the part that does not have to be blind. Most founders take everything on faith, including the parts somebody could just explain to them. What are the developers actually doing. What breaks when we scale. When are we really launching. That is not the great unknown. That is just untranslated. Save your faith for the true leaps. For everything else, get a flashlight.
